LESLIE AND OUR LONG FRIENDSHIP - 00002

Leslie was my girlfriend in Hartford, Connecticut …..and she still somehow is. We planned to marry, but her family was opposed to it, although they liked me, and we came to eat with them all the time. We kept seeing each other during my five years of hitchhiking and the years of my lecturing where I often stayed with her. One time she hitchhiked up to Canada to see me and often came down to my home base New York. We recently celebrated our 45-year anniversary. Old love never dies.
