For 27 years until her death in 2002 I kept visiting my old friend Ida – also seen in this exhibition on photo 784 from 1975. I always brought European friends with me – on this visit Anita Roddick from The Bodyshop. But I never dared to come without some six packs of beers. The multi-millionaire Anita loved to drink beer with Ida but refused to eat her food – some black day-old soup with a few pig tails and flies floating around in it.
