Shrine of Lady Roquai'ya in Damascus - photo Jacob HoldtImam al-Hussain - grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and son of Ali - the founder of Shiite Islam- is a martyr for Shiites. He was killed by the Umayyads at Kerbela in Iraqis.  His head is buried in the Umayyad Mosque.
His 4 year old daughter Roquai'ya is in the shrine seen here in the Sayyida Ruqayya Mosque - also in Damascus.
