American
Pictures:
So far I have 3.400 of my American pictures up on this site.
You can see an
index
of them here - including
the bad from my very
first slideshow and various
friends. I am looking for funding to help make
all 10.000 of them
available
in a searchable database on the internet and on an educational interactive DVD about racism. There will also be
photographic life stories on most of the people and families
whom I have followed photographically for almost 30 years - all too often from cradle to grave - as well as interviews and videos.

Other countries:
I rarely get time to photograph, but once every two years I usually take off from my lectures in America for a week or two to a new country to free myself of my creeping Americanized thinking - often to do volunteer work for
CARE. The longest stays have been in Bolivia and Nepal, but the most personal relationships I had with the people I lived with in the slums of Haiti and especially
Namibia. If you like my American Pictures you should take a look at my African pictures for comparison. |

Other issues:
I love to photograph my friends - and to tease them a bit on the Internet. Also I have increasingly started photographing the minorities I work with in Europe where racism is directed more against Muslim immigrants than blacks. |

Pictures
for My
Genealogy
Pages
from my family's
photo archives :
For
good reasons I did not take all these family photos myself.
I have only included a few pictures from the 1st and 2nd
generation since mainly the older generations have significance
for related genealogists around the world.
The pedigrees are shown under each picture. For my children
and myself I have mainly included pictures relating to
the other issues on this site - such as racism, hitchhiking,
USA, Africa etc. My wife's side is not finished yet -
just as my own will probably never be. The text to the
first 10 generations is so far only in Danish!!! |

Even
though you may descend mostly from peasants and thus can
only trace your ancestors 300 years back in parish registers,
the nobles and earlier rulers (with credible genealogical
tables) had sufficient affairs on the side to make the
above and most other historical celebrities your likely
ancestors or distant cousins - unless you are of Eskimo,
Polynesian, American Indian or Australian Aborigine descent.
See
the reason here. |
